• The History of Rome, Book 23 §37 fought prosperously with Hanno the Carthaginian

  Carthaginian commander beaten by Tiberius Sempronius Longus at Grumentum and driven back into Bruttium; later brought Hannibal reinforcement and elephants and parleyed before Nola.

• The History of Rome, Book 24 §1 Hanno, with the Bruttii

  Carthaginian commander operating in Bruttium with Hannibal's army, who reduced Locri and besieged Croton.

• The History of Rome, Book 25 §1 Hanno

  Carthaginian commander based in Bruttium, sent to provision Capua; his camp is stormed at Beneventum (§13–14), and he commands again at Agrigentum.
